The Everest View Trek is a 7-day Himalayan journey through the legendary Everest region of Nepal, combining spectacular mountain scenery, traditional Sherpa villages, Buddhist culture, and panoramic views of some of the world’s highest peaks. The trek begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and follows the Dudh Koshi Valley toward the famous Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar.

From Lukla, the trail passes through Phakding and continues through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests, suspension bridges, and traditional Sherpa settlements. The journey gradually leads to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant gateway to the Everest region, where trekkers can experience the unique culture, traditions, and mountain lifestyle of the Khumbu.

A major highlight is the hike toward the Everest View Hotel at approximately 3,880 meters. From this spectacular viewpoint, weather permitting, trekkers can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and other Himalayan peaks.

The trek also takes you to Tengboche, home to the renowned Tengboche Monastery. Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, this peaceful village provides an opportunity to experience the spiritual traditions and Buddhist heritage of the Sherpa community.

After exploring the upper Khumbu, the trail descends through the Dudh Koshi Valley toward Monjo and Lukla. The itinerary may change depending on weather conditions, flight schedules, trail conditions and local circumstances.

Flights to and from Lukla are weather-dependent, and delays or cancellations may occur. Travelers are advised to keep some flexibility in their schedule and have travel insurance covering travel disruptions and emergency evacuation.

Mountain views are also weather-dependent and cannot be guaranteed.

The Everest View Trek is a 7-day journey through the scenic Everest region of Nepal, beginning with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and a trek to Phakding. The trail continues through the Dudh Koshi Valley to Namche Bazaar, where trekkers explore the vibrant Sherpa town and hike to the Everest View Hotel for spectacular views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam, weather permitting. From Namche, the route continues to Tengboche and its famous monastery before descending through the Dudh Koshi Valley via Monjo to Lukla. The trek concludes with a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu.

Your Everest View Trek begins with an early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight offers beautiful aerial views of the Himalayan range as you approach Lukla, the main gateway to the Everest region.

After landing at Lukla, meet your trekking guide and porter team and begin your first day of trekking. The trail gradually descends and follows the Dudh Koshi River through traditional Sherpa settlements, prayer flags, mani walls and green mountain landscapes.

The relatively short first day allows you to become familiar with the mountain environment before continuing toward higher elevations.

After breakfast, continue along the Dudh Koshi River toward Namche Bazaar.

The trail crosses several suspension bridges and passes through traditional villages before entering Sagarmatha National Park. The surrounding landscape gradually changes as you walk through pine and rhododendron forests.

After crossing the famous suspension bridges, the trail begins a steeper climb toward Namche Bazaar. As you approach Namche, the first impressive views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks may appear on clear days.

Namche Bazaar is the main trading and cultural center of the Khumbu region and is often known as the gateway to Mount Everest.

Today is an important acclimatization and exploration day in Namche Bazaar.

After breakfast, hike gradually uphill toward the Everest View Hotel. The trail provides increasingly impressive views of the surrounding mountains as you gain altitude.

From the Everest View Hotel, weather permitting, you can see Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and other Himalayan peaks.

After enjoying the mountain panorama, return to Namche Bazaar. The afternoon can be spent exploring the town, visiting local shops and cafés, or learning more about Sherpa culture.

This acclimatization day helps your body adjust to the increasing altitude before continuing toward Tengboche.

After breakfast, leave Namche Bazaar and follow one of the most scenic sections of the Everest region.

The trail initially follows a relatively gradual route with spectacular views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. The path then descends toward Phunki Tenga before crossing the river.

From Phunki Tenga, the trail climbs through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests toward Tengboche.

Tengboche is one of the most important cultural and spiritual places in the Khumbu region. The famous Tengboche Monastery sits on a ridge surrounded by spectacular Himalayan scenery.

If conditions and opening hours permit, you can visit the monastery and experience the peaceful Buddhist atmosphere.

After breakfast, begin the descent from Tengboche toward the lower Dudh Koshi Valley.

The trail passes through beautiful forests and traditional Sherpa settlements. As you lose altitude, the vegetation becomes greener and the surrounding environment gradually becomes warmer.

Continue along the Dudh Koshi River and pass through villages before reaching Monjo.

Monjo is located near the entrance area of Sagarmatha National Park and provides a peaceful overnight stop on the return journey toward Lukla.

Today is the final trekking day of your Everest View Trek.

After breakfast, continue along the Dudh Koshi River and retrace the trail through the familiar villages and suspension bridges.

The trail gradually approaches Lukla as the landscape becomes greener and the altitude decreases.

After reaching Lukla, check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. This is a good opportunity to celebrate the completion of your trek with your guide and porter team.

After breakfast, prepare for your flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu.
