Scenic Drive to Ghandruk

Your Annapurna Base Camp adventure begins from Pokhara.

After breakfast, drive towards Ghandruk, one of the most famous Gurung settlements in the Annapurna region. The journey passes through beautiful hills, terraced farmland and rural landscapes.

Upon arrival in Ghandruk, explore the traditional village and enjoy your first views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Ghandruk is known for its Gurung culture, traditional houses and spectacular mountain scenery.

Trek Through Gurung Villages and Mountain Landscapes

After breakfast, begin your trek towards Chhomrong.

The trail follows beautiful mountain terrain with forests, terraced fields and traditional settlements. As you approach Chhomrong, the Himalayan scenery becomes increasingly impressive.

Chhomrong is one of the major villages on the Annapurna Base Camp route and offers excellent views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre.

Enter the Modi Khola Valley

After breakfast, descend through the Chhomrong area and cross the suspension bridge before continuing towards Bamboo.

The trail passes through dense rhododendron, bamboo and oak forests. The surrounding environment becomes increasingly peaceful as you move deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary region.

Trek Deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary

Today’s trail continues along the Modi Khola valley.

Walk through dense forest and gradually gain altitude as you pass through Dovan and Himalaya before reaching Deurali.

As the altitude increases, the vegetation becomes thinner and the mountain landscape becomes more dramatic.

Reach Annapurna Base Camp – 4,130m

Today is the major highlight of the trek.

Leave Deurali and continue towards Machhapuchhre Base Camp. The trail gradually opens into the magnificent Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by enormous Himalayan peaks.

After reaching Machhapuchhre Base Camp, continue towards Annapurna Base Camp.

At 4,130 meters, you will stand at the foot of the spectacular Annapurna massif.

Sunrise at ABC and Descend to Bamboo

Wake early to experience the sunrise over the Annapurna range, weather permitting.

After breakfast, begin descending from Annapurna Base Camp.

Retrace the trail through the Annapurna Sanctuary and continue through the forest towards Bamboo.

The descent is generally easier than the ascent, although the uneven terrain still requires careful walking.

Trek to Jhinu Danda and Natural Hot Spring

After breakfast, continue downhill through the forest towards Sinuwa.

Continue towards Chhomrong before descending further to Jhinu Danda.

Jhinu Danda is famous for its natural hot spring. Depending on the weather, trail conditions and available time, you can relax at the hot spring and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Return to Pokhara

After breakfast, continue towards the roadhead.

From there, take a scenic drive back to Pokhara.

Your Annapurna Base Camp Trek 8 Days officially concludes in Pokhara.

You can spend the rest of the day relaxing around Phewa Lake, exploring Lakeside or enjoying a well-deserved rest after your Himalayan adventure.
